Long-awaited debut music from Motown Gospel’s newest singing sensation Gene Moore arrives in stores and online everywhere today.

The soulful vocalist offers a wonderfully personal and intimate project that hits home for audiences of all backgrounds. Equal parts, soul, and gospel, Moore has emerged as a force in music.  Leading the way for THE FUTURE is the first radio single, a beautifully performed ballad, “Recover.” Moore co-wrote “Recover” (with producer Aaron Lindsey and 6x GRAMMY® winner Israel Houghton) out of his own powerful testimony, and it is his triumph and redemption that can be noticeably heard on his art. Other highlights include the contemporary mid-tempo, “Coming Home,” and the thoughtful and worshipful “All For Me.”

Moore has worked for years as an in-demand background singer and session vocalist for music heavyweights, such as India.Arie and Kirk Franklin. His experience and talent are on full display on this freshman offering.

He will celebrate his release with a hometown album listening event on Friday, July 28 at the City Cathedral Church, located at 3701 Elgin Street, Houston TX 77004.  Moore will also share his music and story next Friday, August 4 on ‘Great Day Houston.’

THE FUTURE is constructed brilliantly with strong and uncomplicated production where Moore’s resonant voice shines. Heralded as a modern-day Donny Hathaway, Moore’s ‘Gospel Soul’ connects deeply with listeners with his unparalleled and clean sound. With tunes that are based on God’s love, light, and healing, THE FUTURE is inspirational, powerful and relevant. It is a must-have for all music collections.
